High Impact Entrepreneurship Campus award

National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) in partnership with Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), along with Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), the British Council and Intel organized a first-of-its-kind ‘Entrepreneurship Education Conclave’. 

As part of the event, organizers seek to recognize these truly outstanding accomplishments, the exceptional individual and institutional achievements of the faculty members, colleges and E-cells. The Awards are designed to honor those faculty members who exemplify the highest levels of excellence in the pursuit of the entrepreneurial mission to develop and move entrepreneurs to fulfill their goals. The Awards also seek to provide models of excellence for fellow faculty and encourage the faculty to continue to improve the entrepreneurial pursuits of the country through their teaching, mentoring and scholarly and/or creative activities.

The 2015 High Impact Entrepreneurship Campus award honours the institutes that create and support the largest number of entrepreneurs through highest value delivered through the institutional backing. The award category will be judged on:

  • Strong and ongoing programs for every beneficiary
  • Robust interface with entrepreneurship stakeholders outside the campus

NIT Trichy won the award at the national level for a variety of initiatives and events organized throughout the year 2014. Centre for Entrepreneurship Development and Incubation (CEDI), has spearheaded the initiatives, along with E-Cell of NIT, Trichy.

Incuabtee Awards

One of our Incubatees, Blaer Motors, working on “A hybrid Engine for Two–wheelers”, was awarded the “Best Startup 2014” in Automobile category and a cash price of INR 1, 00,000 in the Startupreneurs expo organized by CII-Chennai.

One of our Incubatee, Silicic Innova Technologies Pvt Ltd., founded by NITT alumnus, working on Interactive comprehensive visual acuity system and Low-cost interactive video conferencing system for Telemedicine application addressing the needs of Rural Population, bagged the Runner up spot in TIE(The Indus Entrepreneurs) Business Plan Competition, New Delhi.
