10th 12th Board Exams twice a year

The education minister of India Mr Dharmendra Pradhan told the students and stakeholders of education about the implementation of board examinations twice a year. The concept of two times what examinations in a year was mentioned in the national education policy of 2020 in India, After that the national curriculum framework – NCF 2023 has also included the implementation of conducting board examinations twice a year. Now the education minister has disclosed the implementation of the scheme as it will be implemented from the session of 2025 and 2026 of board examination of 10th class and 12th class.

What is Two Board Exam in a Year

Currently, educational boards including CBSE, ICSE, state boards, etc are conducting single board examinations in a year where the whole syllabus is asked in a final examination. So students have to prepare the whole syllabus to appear in the final board examination. This method is increasing tension and burden among students to revise the whole syllabus. So the new education policy of 2020 has advocated conducting 10th 12th Board Exams in two installments, It is also known as term wise board examination.

After the implementation of the scheme, insurance will only study the specific syllabus for 1st term board examination and after that, the rest syllabus will be asked in the second term for the last term examination. So students need not revise the complete syllabus to appear in the final board examination. The scheme will not only reduce the external burden on the students but will also increase the Performance of the students in the 10th 12th Board Exams and will help them to secure good marks.
