  • Candidates should be a retired employee of the Central or State Government.

A pensioner will require several vital documents in order to generate an online digital life certificate or Jeevan Pramaan Patra.

  • Aadhaar number.
  • A registered and operational mobile phone number.
  • To generate Jeevan Pramaan Patra online, you must first register with the government’s Jeevan Pramaan portal.

Registration Process For Jeevan Pramaan Patra

Individuals are to follow these steps to register for the digital certificate :

  • Click on ‘New Registration’ on app.
  • Provide the requisite details concerning their Aadhaar card, pension order, and bank.
  • Choose ‘Send OTP’ option to generate OTP on their mobile number.
  • After entering the OTP, individuals need to authenticate details via biometric authentication using an Aadhaar card.
  • On submission, the details offered would be validated by UIDAI and a Jeevan Pramaan ID would be generated.

Doorstep banking

The Alliance, which consists of 12 public sector banks, offers ‘Doorstep banking’ to its customers. Via this specific service, PSB Alliance offers the service of collecting life certificates. During the process, a DSB agent arrives to the pensioner’s home. However, a pensioner can schedule a service through a threshold banking mobile application, a toll-free number or a website.

Life Certificate Submission 2024 by India Post Payments Bank (IPPB)

In November 2020, the Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare successfully introduced the initiative of ‘Doorstep service for submission of Digital life certificate by Postman’. The India Post Payment Bank developed this initiative.

To avail of this particular service, you can contact the nearest post office. Besides, you can visit the official website or download the ‘Post info’ app and request doorstep service. According, the certificate is generated and shared with that pensioner directly. A pensioner can download his/her Pramaan ID without any trouble.

Note : The India Post Payments Bank will charge a nominal fee of Rupees.70.

Life Certificate Submission 2024 through Designated official

If a pensioner does not desire to appear before the Pension Disbursing Agency (PDA), they can submit their life certificate, which is signed by a designated official.

The CPAO (Central Pension Accounting Office) Scheme pamphlet states that these pensioners do not have to appear physically. Individuals can find a list of all the nominated officials who are eligible to put their signatures on life certificates.

Face authentication launched by UIDAI

To make the process more seamless, pensioners can submit life certificates using a Face Verification technology system based on UIDAI Aadhaar software. This method is commonly used by the Jeevan Pramaan mobile application. A digital life certificate is generated from any smartphone by capturing a photograph of an individual and uploading it to the online platform of Jeevan Pramaan. All you need to do is following these steps:

  • Download the ‘AadhaarFaceRd’ app.
  • Download the Jeevan Pramaan face application from its website and click on ‘Client Installation Document for Android Face App’.
  • Please provide all the required information.
  • You will receive a link in the registered email.
  • Click on the link sent to the mail.
  • A file will be download.
  • Then click on the file to install an app.
  • Open the app, provide all required permissions and submit.
  • You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.
  • Enter the OTP and send.
  • Then fill in all the required details and click on both checkpoints.
  • Click on the checkbox and scan the live photo.
  • A window will pop up & then Select ‘yes’ to continue the process.
  • Click on ‘Proceed’ for face scanning.
  • After this process, a DLC submission comes up on the screen along with PPO number and the Prime ID.

Download Jivan Praman Patra from the Umang App 

The central government is providing government facilities through online mode by Umang mobile application. If you are using a smartphone and have an internet connection then you can download the Umang App on your mobile phone and after that log in by entering your Aadhaar Card details. Now search for the Pensioner’s life certificate on the Umang portal and enter your pension ID and Aadhar card number, after the date, your Jivan Praman Patra will appear on the screen so you can download it on your mobile phone.

Submit Jivan Praman Patra on the bank website

Banks are also providing the facility to generate life certificates for their customers who are getting pensions in their banks. To create or generate your Jivan Praman Patra through online mode we have to visit the official website of the bank where you have a pension account.

After that, you have to click on the link of verified Jivan Praman Patra, so the employees will fix the schedule to meet online mode for your personal verification. You have to provide the information of your Aadhar card and PAN card and share the OTP and after that employee will take your selfie from the camera through online mode.
