He added that around 4.5 lakh undergraduate and 32,000 postgraduate students are expected to benefit from the Nutana Unnata Abhilasha Scholarship Scheme. A fund of Rs 300 crore will be collected and, all eligible students will be given Nua-O Magic Smart Cards, through which they will be able to avail of additional benefits such as bus or train travel, free WIFI usage, online courses, skill development, and coaching programs,” Pandian said.
Who is eligible for the Odisha NUA-O Scholarship?
The scholarship under the Nutana Unnata Abhilasha Scheme of the Government of Odisha is expected to cover all 30 districts of the state, especially the aspirational, remote, and tribal districts of Odisha. According to the Government of Odisha, this scholarship will be awarded to any student of any government or non-government institution in the state who has registered in any undergraduate and postgraduate program.
Students of Sanskrit College which is under the Higher Education Department have also been included in this Nutana Unnata Abhilasha Scheme.
