They will prepare a fake website which will look like similar to the government website and will ask you to register yourself on the portal to get the extra payments. 

Apart from this method, cheaters are also using mobile permission method, where you need to either download the mobile application from unauthorised sources or login website directly. After that it will ask you to allowed all permissions including contact details, photos, mobile app data, saved password etc. After that can easily manipulate by using your personal information.

  • Check the website: Cheaters cannot use Official website of the government to collect your data. So they will prepare a fake domain or a fake name for website. Usually websites ends with .com, org etc. But the official website in South Africa ending with gov.za. So if you find any other website address then should not provide your all the information in it
  • Ask personal details: The government already has your data and information and will not ask your password and other details for the verification. But these websites will force you to use your personal information and passwords for different accounts.
  • Grammar error: Official website are managed by a specialised team and they do not made any grammatical error in the data available on the website. But if you compare fake websites with Government website then can easily find out the grammar error and spelling mistakes including unstructured sentences etc.
  • Shortlink: The government will not show any link to send it to the beneficiaries. You can see complete website address in your email by The government. But if you get any link which do not have a meaningful name in the URL then you should not open it as it may be fraud.
