SSC GD Exam Pattern 2025: The Staff Selection Commission will be releasing the SSC GD 2025 notification on the official SSC website on August 2024. The notification will be downloaded in the form of a PDF from ssc.gov.in. All of the details pertaining to the SSC GD Constable, such as exam dates and syllabus will be released on the official notification.

SSC GD Exam Pattern 2025:

Details regarding the SSC GD Exam Pattern 2025 are also released in the notification. The SSC GD exam 2025 is conducted in three stages, the Computer Based Test (CBT), the Physical Standards Test (PST)/ Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and the Medical Examination. The SSC GD Constable 2025 Computer Based Test are Divided into 4 parts, namely, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics and English/Hindi.

SSC GD Constable 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The SSC GD Constable Eligibility Criteria will be mentioned in the official notification. As such, the SSC eligibility criteria based on Nationality, Age and Educational qualifications. Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria for the SSC GD Constable 2025 exam before applying. The SSC GD eligibility criteria 2025 are as follows.

Nationality: Candidates must be Citizens of India

Age: Candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 23

Educational Qualifications: The candidate must have passed the grade 10/ Matriculation exam.

Only 80 questions will be asked 

THE SSC GD constable examination was based on 100 questions on multiple answer type earlier, but now according to the revised schedule and pattern of the examination, there will only be 80 questions in the question paper. So students are getting relaxed from the board as the number of questions has been reduced. There are a total of 4 sections in the SSC GD recruitment examination including the language of Hindi or English, Mathematics, reasoning, and general knowledge.

Each section carried 25 marks in the previous pattern but now they will only 20 questions in every section. So it will help students to study more specifically for preparing for SSC GD constable recruitment 2025. As mentioned the board has also increased the marking scheme from 1 mark for each correct answer to 2 mark. So now there will total of 160 marks in the SSC GD recruitment examination and candidates have to score good marks to achieve their rank in the merit list.

Only 60 minutes will be provided

Candidates got 90 minutes to complete 100 questions in the previous pattern of the SSC GD recruitment examination now they will get only 60 minutes to complete 80 questions which may increase the pressure on the students. However, it is also important that the number of questions and the number of minutes are reduced by the SSC in the new pattern of SSC GD recruitment.  

New syllabus of SSC GD recruitment examination 2025

As mentioned there will 4 sections in the examination English or Hindi ( only one language which will be opted by the student at the time of applying online), Mathematics, reasoning, and general awareness.

  • Mathematics: Number systems, fractions, decimals, Arithmetic applications, Ratio, Profit loss, percentages, etc will be covered in the mathematical section
  • Reasoning: Verbal and nonverbal communication, blood relations, mathematical operation, analysis, coding-decoding, calendar, etc are asked in the reasoning section
  • General knowledge will cover the topics of history, political science, geography, Contemporary situation in the world, Relationship of India with other countries, awards, author names, etc are asked in general knowledge.
  • The language section will cover questions of language comprehension including synonyms, antonyms, word meanings,  grammar, etc of Hindi or English.
