TNEA Eligibility Criteria 2024
Eligibility criteria to get admission for Bachelor’s of Engineering or Architecture, a candidate must meet the certain eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualification and age limit.
- Educational Qualification: One must have passed the HSC (Academic: both +1 and +2) with a minimum average percentage of 45% in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
- Age Limit: The maximum age limit for engineering admissions in Tamil Nadu is 25 years. There is no minimum age requirement specified.

TNEA 2024 Registration Fee
In the Tamil Nadu engineering admissions process for academic year 2024-24, candidates are required to pay a registration fee based on their category using the one provided payment gateway. For the aspirants belonging to OC/BC/BCM/MBC&DNC category, the registration fee is ₹500, while for individuals belonging to SC/SCA/ST category, the payable amount is ₹250.
TNEA 2024 Required Documents
To get admission for BE/BTech or BArch, a candidate will have to submit an application form via the web portal of Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission, to do so, one must have the following documents:
- 10th i.e. SSLC Marksheet
- HSC First year (+1) Mark sheet
- HSC Second year (+2) / Equivalent Marksheet
- Transfer Certificate
- Details of Government school studied from 6th to 12th standard for 7.5% Government School Students Reservation.
- Permanent Community Certificate for ST, SC, SCA, MBC&DNC, BC, and BCM (either Permanent card or electronic form / digitally signed e-Certificate)
- Nativity Certificate (only in electronic form/ digitally signed e-Certificate) (if applicable)
- Income certificate (if applicable)
- Srilankan Tamil Refugee Certificate (If applicable)
